YAYORIN PUBLISHED AGRICULTURE HANDBOOK
Yayorin just recently published a handbook on chilli and tomato cultivation using
the alternative agriculture methods we have been developing at Kampung
Konservasi.
It is a very exciting progress for us because we can spread this
valuable knowledge even further to the local people, especially the
farmers. The book is the result of
two years worth of trials (and errors, of course) and hardwork of
Suwardi, Yayorin Kampung Konservasi Alternative Agriculture
Facilitator.

Please Meet Uncle Win, the Orangutan, Bili, the Rhinoceros Hornbill, and Sam, the Deer – Yayorin mascots for Pride Campaign on Lamandau River Wildlife Reserve
When three of us were first created, we were believed as the “umbrella species” that symbolizes the pride of an area and will be used as mascots to support Pride Campaign program. The main objective of Yayorin Pride Campaign is to conserve the only wildlife reserve in Central Kalimantan: Lamandau River Wildlife Reserve, located within two districts: Kotawaringin Barat and Sukamara. We will bring program missions that include increasing the knowledge, influencing attitudes and, eventually, changing the behaviors of the people who live surrounding Lamandau River Wildlife Reserve. |
