Main Programs

REASON (Raise Education and Awareness to Save Orangutan and Nature)

An integrated education and awareness program conducted through three sub programs:

  • MELU (Mobile Education and Library Unit)
    Regular visits to schools, companies, plantations, remote villages and government institutions to distribute information and increase knowledge on conservation issues.
  • Kampung Konservasi
    An Integrated Environmental Learning Arena for local community that offers education activities focus on applicative knowledge and direct interaction with nature.
  • Pustaka Yayorin
    Information distribution and publication through 3-monthly bulletins "SUMPITAN", research reports and books.

BCP (Belantikan Conservation Programme)

Research, conservation and community empowerment program in the Belantikan Ecosystem region of Central Kalimantan, Indonesia.

BCP works with local communities to develop ways to maintain their traditional lifestyles but with no determental impact on the forest ecosystem. 

HOPE (Help Orangutan through People Empowerment)

Communication and fundraising program for general public to gain awareness and support for the ongoing and future programs of Yayorin.
